how can it be bullshit to state a preference?

following suit...

my top 5 albums of 2007 (in no particular order):

1. alterbridge - blackbird
2. eisley - combinations
3. patty griffin - children running through
4. mutemath - mutemath
5. mindy smith - my holiday

recently at church we were discussing our favorite books.  as most of you know, i (summer) love favorites.  so i said, "i know my favorite everything.  just ask me anything."  josh, this really intimidating guy from our group, started quizzing me with random favorite questions. for example:  what is your favorite processed cheese?  i got really overwhelmed and decided that maybe i don't have just one favorite.  i have a lot of things i really love and likewise, many things i hate.  so making top 5 lists is way easier for me now than just picking my favorite.  thanks josh.  even though you are intimidating, i like you.

p.s. you should watch high fidelity, unless you are offended by strong language.

the year that was...

2007. For Summer and I, probably the most interesting year of our lives. A difficult, exciting, and change filled year. The end of our lives apart, and start of our life together. Also, a redefining of a dream and a vision of a new future.

With all thats happened in 2007, I feel like we should've started this 12 months ago, and yet, when I sit down to type our blog I have no clue where to begin. This will only be the beginning I know, and all the thoughts of this year swirling around in my head will come to rest. Then, perhaps I can pick up the pieces and write something with a bit more direction. :)

So for now, welcome to our blog. Empty as it is, I'm sure within the coming months it will fill up with our tales of adventure. Or perhaps just little factoids like what kind of coffee we drank this morning, or what we thought of the movie we saw together last weekend. Either way we hope you find it interesting, and maybe you'll come back for more.
